NOW, FIRST ALERT WEATHER WITH CAITLIN NAPOLEONI. CAITLIN: GOOD AFTERNOON. WE HAD THOSE SHOWERS EARLY THIS MORNING. THEY MADE QUITE A MESS FOR THE FIRST PART OF THE DAY. CONDITIONS ARE IMPROVING. YOU WILL FIND A LITTLE SPRINKLE HERE AND THERE. WE WILL HAVE THE RETURN OF MORE OF THOSE BY THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY AND TONIGHT AND TOMORROW. REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE CONDITIONS ARE AS WE HEAD INTO THE REST OF TH DAY, THEY ARE STILL GOING TO BE PRETTY MESSY. YOU CAN SEE ON THE EDGES OF THE ROADS IN ST. JAMES THERE IS THAT SLUSHY MISTURE ON THE GROUND. WE ARE SEEING SLOWLY GRADUALLY IMPROVING CONDITIONS. HERE ARE OUR TEMPERATURES THAT ARE WARMING UP BEAUTIFULLY. IT FEELS COMFORTABLE IN FACT. BURLINGTON 41. 40 MONTPELIER. WARMER AIR MAKING IT FURTHER NORTH AND EAST. THAT IS ALL THANKS TO A WARM FRONT, AND SOUTHERLY WIND HAS PICKED UP BETWEEN FIVE AND 15 MILES FOR MOST OF THE AREA. THAT IS OUT OF THE SOUTH BEHIND A WA FRONT THAT IS CONTINUING TO BRING US WARMER TEMPERATURES. IT WILL EXIT T AREA AND TAKE SOME OF THOSE SHOWERS WITH IT. THIS SYSTEM WILL MOVE IN LATER THIS EVENING AND BRI SHOWERS, AND AS IT PASSES WE WILL GET SOME COOLE AIR TO TAKE OVER THROUGHOUT YOUR WEDNESDAY AND ESPECIALLY THURSDAY. THE SYSTEM WILL PLAY A BIG ROLE IN THE NEXT COUPLE DAYS. TEMPERATURES WILL STAY CLOSE TO WHERE THEY ARE NOW, COUPLE DEGREE WARMER, LOW TO MID 40′ THEN THE COLD FRONT PASSES, AND LOOK WHAT IT DOES TO OUR TEMPERATURES. AFTER THAT, TEMPERATURES WILL CONTINUE T FALL, SPENDING THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW IN THE 20’S. WITH THAT COLD FROM PASSING, THAT WILL BRING A DROP IN TEMPERATURES. SNOW WILL BEALLING STEADILY IN THE MOUNTAIN AREAS. ADIRONDACKS, NORTHEAST KINGDOM, AND THE WHITE MOUNTAINS SHOULD GET AN ADDITIONAL TWO TO THREE INCHES.
