Korea’s oldest national flag to go display for Liberation Day

To celebrate Korea’s Liberation Day, the nation’s
oldest flag will be on display at the National Museum of Korea for six days starting Thursday. The so-called “Denny Taegeukgi”, as you can
see on your screen, was given as a gift to American diplomatic adviser Owen Denny by
King Gojong during the Joseon Dynasty. The ancient flag was given back to South Korea
by one of Denny’s descendants in 1981.

  1. Beautiful! 💜 I love to see positive historical ties between our nations.

  2. This is an edited and distorted version. The real and original flag includes the text "大清属国"
