As 2017 comes to a close, I hope you’re spending this special time of year with family and friends. I also hope you appreciate that, because of you, many others will do the same. This holiday season, grandparents will pick up their grandchildren because physical therapy made it possible. Parents will climb the stairs into their children’s homes because physical therapy made it possible. And kids with disabilities will play alongside
more able-bodied cousins and siblings because physical therapists and physical therapists
assistants made it possible. What a gift it is to be part of this transformative
profession. And what an honor it is for me to serve you
within our family, the American Physical Therapy Association. Thank you for your contributions to society
and to our association. Thank you for sharing the gift of movement
with the world. Happy holidays.
