Drill Instructor Gives EPIC Speech – United States Marine Corps Recruit Training

Sit up straight and look at me right now.
My name is Staff Sargent May and I am your Senior Drill Instructor. I am assisted in
my duties by: Drill Instructor Staff Sargent F. and Drill Instructor Staff Sargent K.
Our mission is to train each one of you to become a United States Marine. A Marine is characterized as one who possesses
the highest military virtues. He obeys orders, respects his seniors, and strives constantly
to be the best in everything that he does. Discipline and spirit are the hallmarks of
a Marine. Each of you can become a Marine if you develop discipline and spirit. We will
give every effort to train you, even after some of you have given up on yourselves. Starting now, you will treat all Marines with
the highest level of respect, for we have earned our places as Marines and we will accept
nothing less than that from you. We will treat you as we do our fellow Marines: with firmness,
fairness, dignity and compassion. At no time will you be physically abused or verbally
threatened by any Marine or recruit. If anyone should abuse or mistreat you, I expect you
to report such incidents immediately to me or one of my drill instructors. Further, if
you believe that I have mistreated you, I expect you to report it to your series commander,
Captain H. From now on, my drill instructors and I will be with you every day and everywhere
you go. I have told you what my drill instructors
and I will do. From you we demand the following: You will give 100% of yourself at all times.
Obey all orders, quickly, willingly, and without question.
Treat all Marines and recruits with courtesy and respect.
You will not physically abuse or verbally threaten any Marine or recruit.
Be completely honest in everything you do. A Marine never lies, cheats, or compromises.
Respect the rights and property of all others. A Marine never steals.
You must work hard to strengthen you body. Be proud of yourself and the uniform you wear.
Above all that, never quit or give up. For we or for you the challenge of Recruit
Training – the opportunity to earn the title United States Marine.

  21. DI tells all recruits they will be the most respectable/responsible Marines…..proceeds to go to Japan and rape and kill locals.

  22. This is why we are the badest mofos on the planet, in the solar system, and in the universe!!!!!

  23. To all the young parents out there. There is nothing more gratifying than your adult children telling you, thank you, for being tough but fair and loving with them when they were young.

  24. No body gets any intelligence torturing a Marine. They carried no intelligence that the United States of America needed.

  25. Every man has a breaking point….under fire…surrounded….little or no chance of getting out. It's how you do and how you go down that makes you a man to be remembered. This guy would go sooner than some. The mind is strong if it thinks it knows what reality is. The strongest man becomes nothing when his reality is taken from him. Shelve the ego mister….take my word for it.

  26. "I couldn't join the marines. I would punch the drill instructor in the face"
    edit:
not my words, words from my friend, mr tuff guy

  27. In today's world not many people have or see the need for having a sense of History. The following quote is from a man who went on to become the Commandant of the US Marines and a two time recipient of the Medal Of Honor. I hope that those credentials will satisfy even the most uninformed among you. As a Viet Nam Veteran I totally appreciate and support the general's position. Certainly his statement will help to put the current world situation in context. He's my kind of Marine. Let's cut the BS!!! War is not a video game.

“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”

  28. My Utmost Respect an Thanks………SSGT May……….Training young Men for Battle………Epic Speech. .

  29. I only wish the teachers I had in the black high school I attended (frequented) were like this. Instead , in black public schools they let the kids do whatever the fuck they want to do. Society calls teachers "heroes", then turns around and scratches their heads as to why the schools are doing so bad. Then they turn around again and say that the schools need more money. All the money in the world won't fix this situation. These kids need discipline, not excuses of racism, lack of money, etc. thank you.

  30. Follow instructions, work with others, complete your assignment to the best of your ability.

  31. No drill seargent beats full metal jacket …senior drill instructor hes scary as’f

  32. I love this style . I grew up in a Mexican family in Chgo & went to catholic school in the 70"s/80's . This is how we were all spoken to in back those days . When you got a beating at school … you got a beating at home . Ah the good ol day's!!!

  33. Imagine how a roomful of LGBTQ Trump-hating, Fine Arts-majoring, safe space-dwelling Democrat libtards would react if they were forced to sit through something like this? Half of them would literally urinate and defecate in their pants.. All of them would be in in tears, and any would have to run to mommies.

  34. Funny story this past August when my platoon received this speech from out SDI, the very first command he gave us to power walk to our racks everybody got up and this fat body recruit twists his ankle standing up and goes down holding it and he gets swarmed by 3 Di’s screaming at him to get up. He ended up being on light duty and crutches for the first week and a half because of a high sprained ankle. Funny as fuck

  35. My dad was a Marine and a DI. This makes me think of him when i told him i join the ARMY

  36. He forgot to mention the 10USD/hr paycheck they get for being blindly obedient, and putting up with all their bullshit, yelling, and brutal daily routines. Uber drivers make 20/hr and recruits make TEN DOLLARS an hour to become pawns in wars…..let that sink in for a moment.

  37. I worked with a retired Marine Lt Col. He must of been in his eighties. Called everybody scumbag and you loved him. R.I.P. CHARLES DOWER. KOREAN WAR VETTE

  41. Reminds me my Sergeant Major Kate. Now you think was military however back Hight school we had Marine Corp ROTC . I made dumbest mistake if was my first uniform day. I salute him he told me worked for living and not to again.
