Holiday traffic has begun to pile up here
in Korea… as millions of people hit the road to visit their hometowns in time for
Chuseok， the Korean thanksgiving holiday. The Ministry of Land， Infrastructure and
Transport predicts that about 32－million people will be traveling nationwide… until
Tuesday next week， when the 4－day Chuseok holiday comes to an end.
The ministry also expects the worst amount of congestion on Saturday morning， as well
as Sunday evening， the actual day of Chuseok. A mass exodus happens in Korea every year
on major national holidays… like Chuseok… and Lunar New Year.
